IEP - Implementation (Guidance)
Families in all levels are encouraged to share appropriate information about their childrenâs progress and about concerns they may have in order to maintain a continuing and meaningful dialogue about studentâs progress and conduct.
Grade teachers oversee studentsâ academic performance. He / she keeps the school principle informed when a studentâs performance has declined. In many cases, the principle will also be informed about a studentâs academic difficulties.
Grade teacher will take the initiative to inform parents about emerging patterns of decline. If the situation does not improve, the student may be placed on IEP program.
Bookpoint Springs Academy anticipates that every student will move from one grade to the next as long as the studentâs conduct and academic performance is / are acceptable.
When problems arise, the school responds by entering into a dialogue with the parents to determine the most appropriate course of action to support the childâs academic performance and development.
When difficulties arise or when it is in the studentâs best interest to move to another school before promotion to the next class, the school will so advise the parents. The goal is for all students to be matched appropriately to their learning environment.
The function of education is to teach one to think intensively and to think critically. Intelligence plus character – that is the goal of true education.”
