Lower Primary
One of the goals of Bookpoint Springs Academy is to create an interest in students’’ learning. At the Lower Primary, that interest is tangible not only in the classrooms, but also on the playing fields. In order to serve those children, the school creates a supportive environment where students can stretch themselves as they explore the CBC curriculum and the world around them.
Bookpoint Lower Primary provides a strong academic foundation of intellectual and creative pursuits with a focus on skill development. The language curriculum focuses on basic skills as well as appreciation of reading, writing, grammar, spelling, critical thinking, speaking, and listening as important pieces of the program.
Environmental Activities provide a stimulating introduction to history, geography, culture, and current events with a focus on conceptual learning. It also gives children the opportunity to explore the everyday world.
The mathematical Activities program emphasizes basic skills, the development of curiosity, creativity, logical thinking, problems solving, and the ability to make connections between mathematics and other subject areas.
The physical education ( PHE ) offers developmental activities designed to accommodate a wide range of student abilities and interests. Activities like athletics, swimming, individual and team sports, as well as a physical fitness program encourage responsible decision-making, confidence-building, and teamwork. Some children we believe will continue these activities and others even after leaving Bookpoint Springs Academy as a full time career.

I am often amazed at how much more capability and enthusiasm for science there is among elementary school youngsters than among college students.
