IEP - Implementation (Guidance)

Families in all levels are encouraged to share appropriate information about their children’s progress and about concerns they may have in order to maintain a continuing and meaningful dialogue about student’s progress and conduct.

Grade teachers oversee students’ academic performance. He / she keeps the school principle informed when a student’s performance has declined. In many cases, the principle will also be informed about a student’s academic difficulties.

Grade teacher will take the initiative to inform parents about emerging patterns of decline. If the situation does not improve, the student may be placed on IEP program.

Bookpoint Springs Academy anticipates that every student will move from one grade to the next as long as the student’s conduct and academic performance is / are acceptable.

When problems arise, the school responds by entering into a dialogue with the parents to determine the most appropriate course of action to support the child’s academic performance and development.

When difficulties arise or when it is in the student’s best interest to move to another school before promotion to the next class, the school will so advise the parents. The goal is for all students to be matched appropriately to their learning environment.

The function of education is to teach one to think intensively and to think critically. Intelligence plus character – that is the goal of true education.”
